Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the general rules for cancelling HostingBuY services and requesting refunds. Mandatory consumer rights that apply to a particular customer or market remain unaffected.
1. Cancellation requests
Customers may request cancellation through the customer account, support channel or another method provided by HostingBuY. The request should identify the affected service and the requested cancellation date.
2. Expiration and non-renewal
Where automatic renewal is not used, a service may expire at the end of the paid term unless renewed. Customers should export required data before expiration. HostingBuY may delete expired-service data after the applicable grace or retention period.
3. Refund eligibility
Refund eligibility depends on the service, activation status, campaign terms, reason for cancellation and applicable law. Any voluntary money-back guarantee will apply only when expressly published for the relevant service or order.
4. Pre-orders
Unactivated pre-orders are governed by the Pre-order Terms. If HostingBuY cannot activate an ordered location and the Customer does not accept an alternative, a refund will be provided where required by the Pre-order Terms or applicable law.
5. Non-refundable items
To the extent permitted by law, third-party charges that HostingBuY cannot recover—such as certain domain-registration fees, licence fees, bank fees, payment-provider fees or separately purchased third-party products—may be non-refundable if clearly disclosed before purchase.
6. Abuse, fraud and policy violations
Services suspended or terminated for serious fraud, criminal activity, payment abuse or material violations of the Acceptable Use Policy are not automatically entitled to a refund. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
7. Duplicate or incorrect payments
Verified duplicate payments or clear billing errors will be corrected. The Customer should contact HostingBuY before initiating a chargeback so the issue can be investigated promptly.
8. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment method where possible. Processing time depends on the bank or payment provider. Currency conversion can cause the amount received to differ from the original local-currency amount.
9. Consumer withdrawal rights
Swiss law does not provide a universal statutory cooling-off right for every online service purchase. Where mandatory withdrawal or cancellation rights apply because of the Customer’s jurisdiction or the way the service is marketed, those rights prevail over conflicting provisions of this Policy.
